Graphic Design Trends for 2021
#6 —Retro Futurism

2020 has been different, but 2021 could be better, brighter, and filled with brand new inspiring design trends that could change how we design and produce artwork for everyone.
So below are several graphic design trends that may prove to be extremely popular during 2021:
#1 — Pop art and comics
Decades ago, pop art and comic books were incredibly popular in pop culture and worldwide. Now, pop art has made its incline back into modern visual design, even with film studios creating comic book art films and series.
2021 is likely to include graphics and illustrations with a mix of halftones and shading, representing color. Designers this year have been using comic book art styles as a way to create drama and motion.
Bansky has also utilized this when making an NHS nurse portrayed as a superhero. As a top graphic designer at 99 designs once said:
“In the global pandemic, our medical professionals are considered our modern superheroes. I chose a comic style because I really liked comic books like Superman and Marvel when I was a kid. The comic book art style really inspired me during the design process”.

#2 — Fine Art Infusion
2020 was the year we had lots of typography and organic tones, but next year those organic and woody notes will most likely be merged with fine art infusion to give branding to companies a little unique contrast.
Fine art will give designers surface variation and depth to their work. These adjustments could make their designs look like a genuine product that you can hold in your hand.
Fine art is often associated with class and culture, conveying an old-world elegance onto beer cans, wine labels, and cosmetic packaging.
