28/06/2019, Matt and I went out to do some side hustling together to see what we could buy so we could upsell on eBay. Now, as we found out, it’s VERY HARD! We spent countless hours in TKMax, Home bargains, B&M, Sainsbury’s, and numerous other supermarkets.

What we learned was because the UK is an island with approximately 66 million citizens. So, when we are going around hunting for items, the businesses aren’t stupid when reducing their toys. Yes, they say, “Oh, we’ve reduced our books, toys & branded clothes by 60% with an RRP & average price of and so on…” but in reality, they’re selling crappy items that have lousy resale value on eBay.

So, what I’ve learned from the experience of going around shops and trying to do some upselling is to keep experimenting with what sells and what doesn’t. In TKmax, we found stock from Ted Baker, Marc Jacobs, Ralph Lauren sports t-shirts but with the terrible resale value, so it just isn’t worth it. But Don’t stop there! I have found toys, phone cases that have potential good resell value, but then again, you have to look out for supply and demand, so don’t be disheartened if you cannot find anything to buy.
